I updated olex2 for fedora 9 and 10. Centos will have to wait. I need to tweak the spec in order to use python2.5-config instead of python-config.
You’ll see that the files have .debroglie.debroglie in their name, it’s not normal but I don’t want to build them again. It shouldn’t cause any problem.
Olex2 has now got a version – 1.0 and has been updated. This version resolves a lot of the annoying little issues.
The update is broken, the new rpm as a dependency problem.
Hmmmmmmm, after reading the tag below this is slightly worrying I’ve just updated olex2 can a centos user check if the update is work?
Assuming it is there is now olex2 and a new platon for you to play with. If it isn’t then let me know and I can drop the centos update off the server.

There is a bug in the python2.5 rpm for centos. python-config is broken. This means you can’t compile olex2 or anythinh using python-config on centos but the rpm of olex2 is working
.
I am trying to find the reason of this.
Thanks to Fred Hollander who has tracked, sadly via trial and error, some missing dependencies for the Centos install. I’ve corrected these, put in the latest SVN and a new GUI snapshot.
Enjoy
Consequently, python2.5 and python2.5-imaging have been updated as well to correct some bugs also revealed by Fred.
